Hunter Swisher | CEO + Founder

With the goals to make agriculture mores sustainable, he founded Phospholutions as an undergraduate in the College of Agricultural Sciences at Penn State University. Hunter holds a B.S. in Plant Sciences.

Ben Nason | COO

By working in greenhouses, Ben saw the importance of reducing wasted fertilizer. Also holding a B.S. in Plant Sciences from Penn State and joining Phospholutions in 2017, he has proven himself as a crucial component of our growth.


Saige sommese | Art director 

Recently graduating from Penn State's graphic design program, Saige has joined the team, providing her professional input and expertise in photography, design, and marketing.  Her work was recognized at the Penn State Dance Marathon in 2016 after winning the Thon Logo Contest.

Our Board


Ray Bryant, Ph.D.
Is an adjunct professor and graduate faculty member at both The Pennsylvania State University and the University of Maryland Eastern Shore and has forty years’ experience in soil sciences. As a research soil scientist for the USDA-ARS program at University Park, Pennsylvania, Dr. Bryant leads research on pasture system and watershed management, publishing multiple papers over the years on products that alleviate nutrient run-off.

Richard Pagett, M.S
Soon after graduating from the turfgrass program at Pennsylvania State University in 1994, Pagett found himself back in State College to become the Penn State Golf Course Superintendent. He currently serves on the Pennsylvania Turfgrass Council and is President of his GCSAA chapter.  


Richard DeFluri
Richard DeFluri is an Accredited Investment Fiduciary, Certified Investment Management Consultant (CIMC), and a Registered Financial Consultant (RFC). He is also the founder of Abundance, LLC, a wealth investment firm in State College.

Greg Bailey, DO
Is a board certified orthopedic surgeon and current President of University Orthopedic Center. He has experience in bringing medical innovations to market and mentoring entrepreneurs in State College.
