Hunter serves as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Phospholutions, Inc., which he founded prior to graduating with his B.S. degree in Plant Sciences from Pennsylvania State University.
Phospholutions is a sustainable fertilizer company that under Hunter's leadership has raised over $29 million in venture capital to develop technologies to improve phosphorus fertilizer efficiency. Most recently, Hunter was recognized in 2023 in Forbes 30 under 30 Social Impact class, three consecutive years as Foremost under 40 by Pennsylvania Business Central, Top 100 People of Pennsylvania, and recognized for his contribution to the environment by Pennsylvania's Former Governor Tom Wolf. He personally is the inventor/co-inventor on four patents pending around the world.
Hunter currently serves on the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Advisory Board within the College of Agricultural Sciences at Penn State University. He is actively involved as a member and an Ambassador for the International Fertilizer Association and serves on the Public Affairs & Communications and Agricultural Strategic Advisory Teams, as well as the Metrics and Applications Sustainability Committees.
